Kōrero is a substantial cast glass artwork that celebrates the beauty of coming together for honest, respectful conversation. Its solid form and thoughtful design emulate the feeling of being outdoors with a view coming together on neutral ground and stepping away from the everyday, to connect more deeply with one another. Kōrero is a quiet nod to the value of taking time to truly listen and be heard.
Di chose the title Kōrero to acknowledge and celebrate the growing everyday use of Te Reo Māori in Aotearoa. While not a fluent speaker herself, she proudly supports and encourages the idea that this language can be embraced by all New Zealanders, as a shared and living part of our cultural identity.
