2026 Exhibition Open Call

New Zealand Glassworks Te Whare Tūhua o Te Ao (NZG) is now accepting applications for exhibitions to be presented in 2026.

New Zealand Glassworks is the national centre for glass. NZG’s vision is to be the hub of glass practice in New Zealand and be renowned as a centre for innovation and glass excellence. We are New Zealand’s leading place for the community to access and experience all aspects of glass, to inspire and encourage glass artists and advocate for a sustainable sector.

NZG is committed to supporting artistic exploration and creativity and providing a platform to showcase new and original works in glass. In 2026 we look forward to offering 3 professional artist’s or groups working primarily in glass a 6-week exhibition in the Mezzanine Gallery at NZG.

The 2026 Exhibition Open Call is seeking proposals by any individual or group who utilise glass as the primary medium in their practice. Proposed exhibitions can focus on any theme or technique. Exhibitions will be selected based upon their originality, artistic and/or technical excellence, innovation and their suitability for the exhibiting space.
