Stephen Bradbourne

Stephen Bradbourne was born and raised in Auckland, completing a Diploma in Craft Design in 1991.
 In 1992 Bradbourne began working with Gary Nash at Sunbeam Glassworks in Auckland were he quickly developed the skills required to become an efficient production glassblower.
 Bradbourne began making and exhibiting his own designs in 1995,investigating and developing a repertoire of complex traditional Italian techniques such as Murrine and Twisted cane which have become his trademark style.
In 2005 Bradbourne left his position at Sunbeam to fully focus on his own practice,establishing Monmouth Glass Studio in Auckland in 2013.
 Bradbourne has an extensive history of exhibiting in both group and solo shows and is recognized as one of New Zealands most multi talented and original glass artists.He has been the recipient of a number of awards including merits at the Royal Easter show in 1998 and 1999 and winner of both the Cavalier Bremworth Luminous glass award and the Molly Morpeth Canady 3-D Award in 2007.
 Bradbournes work is included in many public and private collection both in New Zealand and internationally.
