These sweet Piwakawaka are made by Coromandel based glass artist Jan Kocian.
The Fantail or Piwakawaka is native to New Zealand and known for its friendly ‘cheet cheet’ call and energetic flying antics, the fantail is one of the most common and widely distributed native birds on the New Zealand mainland.
Due to the nature of hot glass each Piwakawaka is unique and there may be variations to the size, colour and shape.
