Green Tapa cylinder-This piece is referencing the patterned glass and ceramic work I made in the 1990’s.At the time I my pattern making was heavily influenced by the exciting and vibrant Pacific arts and culture happening in Auckland.
These pieces all utilise various types of Murrine, the main decorative glass technique I’ve utilizing in my work since the mid 1990’s as a way of creating pattern, mark making and language within the blown vessel form.
