During this workshop, you will learn about the different types of glass, tools, and equipment used in glass blowing. You will also learn how to safely work with glass, including handling hot glass, shaping, and manipulating it to create your own unique pieces.

Under the guidance of our instructors, you will have the opportunity to create a variety of simple blown glass objects, such as paperweights, ornaments, and small vessels. You will also learn techniques such as gathering, marvering, and blowing to shape your creations.

At the end of the workshop, you will take home your own beautiful blown glass pieces, which you can proudly display or use as gifts for friends and family.

No prior experience is required for this workshop. All materials and equipment will be provided, including safety gear, so all you need to bring is your creativity and a willingness to learn.

Duration

One day workshop on a Saturday - 9am to 4pm.

Number of participants per workshop

4 people / $395 per person.

What you should wear

Covered flat shoes - worker boots or sneakers (no sandals or jandals).

Natural fiber clothing - t-shirt/shirt, full length leg coverings e.g jeans, cotton trousers (no synthetics).

Outcomes

Each participant can expect to make; a tear drop, two paperweights and a blown vessel.

All materials are included.

No persons under the age of fifteen are able participate in the workshop.

Refund policy:
Due to limited availability of our workshops, all classes are non-refundable. We require 72 Hours’ notice if you are unable to attend your workshop and would like to reschedule.

NOTE: With all hot glass, the pieces you make need to anneal (cooled down) in a annealing kiln overnight, you will need to return the following day to collect your work. Items can be mailed at an extra charge.
